Diego Hidalgo’s father planted his first coffee trees at La Bandera meaning flag since 1976. Today, the small coffee farm(24 acres) has secured a place among Costa Rica’s most outstanding coffee. Located 1,950 meters above sea level and in the Tarrazu region, conditions are ideal for producing premium coffee, the area is renowned for producing award-winning coffee thanks to its mineral-rich soil and ideal climate. It’s implementation however, would not have been possible without Diegos dedicated effort.
Seven years ago Diego built his own mirco mill at La Bandera, which meant that he could follow the coffee all the way from the coffee flower to export ready bean., Diego Hidalgo was a natural choice as the next element in the Costa Rican Mill Series.
Diego’s coffee elegant but luscious coffee with floral aroma, pleasantly sweet and fruity flavour yellow plum, red berries and sweet-smelling shrub.
